Unlocking Skills Question - Guild Wars Forums

If I unlock all skills via pvp (*cough* RR *cough*), can I just go to LA, Kamadan, Kaineng, EotN and buy all skills? I plan to buy all skills on my ele so I just wanted to know. I don't want to have to search wiki for every skill and where to buy. (Already have all ELite capped btw). Thanks!

Skill trainers will teach you any skill you have unlocked. So you can do that, yes.

If you unlock a skill, in any way, be it from pvp,or hero, or bought it with a previous character,the skill will be available at any skill trainer in the campaign that that skill is from.

This right here. The best way to get skills you want is to use 1k balth faction at a priest and then go to the appropriate campaign and talk to any skill trainer to learn it (or use a tome :P).

Also, when you get Hero Skills from the NPC's in Kamadan, SS Great Hall, etc, the skill will be unlocked for you too. You can get plenty of free skills by going to various Hero Skills NPC's. Just make sure that if the profession you're looking to unlock skills is either your primary or secondary at the time you unlock it. Hope this helps. : )

If a skill is unlocked, any trainer in the campaign the skill originates in will have it. You're much better off just buying tomes; you'll potentially save over 50% if you buy in bulk.

Actually, it's not that hard to find out where to buy skills. Each campaign has a skill trainer near the end that has all skills for the campaign. In Prophecies, it's the guy in Ember Light Camp (Dakk). In Nightfall, it's the one in the Gate of Torment. In Factions - it's Harvest Temple. If you go to those 3 places and buy all the available skills, you'll have them all (without spending time unlocking them first) - unless. of course, you haven't been to those places.
